~Working Hands~

Hebrews 4:12 says, "For the Word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart."

Beth Moore tells the story of her great-grand father and Jessie James. As Jessie James was from my family years ago I am always finding and shocked at the stories I am told. Beth's great-grand father was on a train one day that Jessie James and his brother was robbing. Jessie went trough the train and made all the men in the train turn their hands up word to the sky. And as Jessie went hand, to hand, to hand he was looking for those whose hand were ruff and tuff. If he could tell they were hard working men who made a hard living he did not take there stuff from them and didn't rob them. If they had soft hands he took there stuff. To the James brothers the men's hands were showing them what their actions were like. If you put that in a holy sense it's like showing clean hands and a pure heart of a men. It also make me wonder and ponder on our attitudes of our hearts. I am also reminded to ask myself are we the hands and feet of Christ.
