To 5 years!

Happy 5th Anniversary to the Love of my life... Over the past years have seen so long at times. We have had our ups and downs and boy what a ride it has been. From moving all over the southeast to job to job, ministry to ministry, house to house to the birth of our first a little less then 3 years ago to the birth of number two only 7 months ago. In all that has happened from the issues of birth with Emily, to sickness with mono, to becoming blind for two months with my eye issues. God has always rains blessings on our family even in the times that have been the hardest. I give Thanks and all the glory to CHRIST for all great things He has done in Debbie and I's life over the past years. I pray for many more years to come and await the great things that come and see what God does in our family. Thanks to all who have given support and prayers over the years. God is Good!

For I wait....

I waited many years for the Lord to send the one person, the right person I could live a long side with and partner to grow a family together. I can remember the day I felt the joy I had as i waited at the front of the church for my bride to be. As I take some time to remember the great times we had. What a great time to remember the great times we have had and even the times that we grow as one in Christ. Debbie and I where able to get away for about a hour today and went to Burk Perk to get some lunch and Coffee too. It was really good! It was the 1st time we have been to this place, I was not sure at 1st when they opened in Waynesboro if they would make it but after today I can see it going over every well here... As long as they keep the prices where they are. I can see me giving it a review in the coming months. The best part was spending time together without the kids and ordering a plate of fryed pickles.

What a weekend!

So Debbie and I head out of town to do a meet and greet at the church as well as head to the beach. On the way to the beach we hear a loud pop and out goes our tire. After sitting on the side of the road for more then a hour, shopping around for the right size tire and waiting to get the van fixed then waiting to get our hotel room we were ready to go home and get in our own bed after all that... But God is good and it was great to meet some new people at the church as well as attend church Sunday morning. The people are great and God's doing some great things and I feel God is about to some great things in the student ministry. We also got run by the house to show Emily and Ethan. Every one was ready for lunch by the time we got there so we have a nice 1st meal on the floor of the new house. Emily was so happy to see it and is ready to move in now! The time we got back home she was wanting to pack her stuff so she can stay in her new room. It was a long weekend but God got the Glory and Evil did not win. It's good to be in our own bed!

The Time has come!

Okay so many people have been asking and been hearing things about me leaving Augusta, GA and starting something new... Well It's true God has opened some big doors over the past few weeks and I have made the choice to "GO" As I stated a few months ago we are called by God to Go. So my time has come to do just that. After much prayer and seeking God's face. I have been called as the Pastor of Students at a church in a little town of Guyton, GA. I don't know what will happen over the next few years and I don't know what things God has planned but I feel I am to go. I have never go to a ministry for pay nor for being the simple thing to do. (Wait when is ministry simple... LOL) So I ask that you join in with us as we pray over the next few days and try to get things ready for a big move. I am leaving the TV studios at the end of the month and will be moving away from Shell Bluff, GA. CSRA Nanny Agency will be coming with us and we will be opening up a office in the area. We will be keeping the office in Augusta as well for our current nannies and families. Debbie is looking forward to taking over and being able to meet new families and nannies in the area. Thanks again for everyone's prayers and support!

~Heart Check~

An elderly carpenter was ready to retire. He told his employer-contractor of his plans to leave the house-building business and live a more leisurely life with his wife enjoying his extended family. He would miss the paycheck, but he needed to retire. They could get by.

The contractor was sorry to see his good worker go and asked if he could build just one more house as a personal favor. The carpenter said yes, but in time it was easy to see that his heart was not in his work. He resorted to shoddy workmanship and used inferior materials. It was an unfortunate way to end a dedicated career.

When the carpenter finished his work the employer came to inspect the house. He handed the front-door key to the carpenter. "This is your house," he said, "my gift to you." The carpenter was shocked! What a shame! If he had only known he was building his own house, he would have done it all so differently.

So it is with us. We build our lives, a day at a time, often putting less than our best into the building. Then with a shock we realize we have to live in the house we have built. If we could do it over, we'd do it much differently. But we cannot go back.

You are the carpenter. Each day you hammer a nail, place a board, or erect a wall. "Life is a do-it-yourself project," someone has said. Your attitudes and the choices you make today, build the "house" you live in tomorrow. Build wisely!

Work like you don't need the money.
Love like you've never been hurt.
Dance like nobody is watching.

Are you limiting God?

When God puts a dream in your heart, when He brings opportunities across your path, do you step out boldly in faith, expecting the best, moving forward with confidence, knowing that you are well able to do what God wants you to do? Or do you shrink back in fear, and say, "That's too big for me. I'm not qualified. I'm not able. I could never do that." God wants to do a new thing in your life. But you've got to do your part and get outside that little box. Start thinking Big!
