~Puzzle Picture~

This is a picture of a puzzle one of our boys did before leaving to go off to camp. In fact he is our only boy currently in the house now. We are down to only 3 children two girls and one boy. At this point I am not sure if we will ever get any more kids. I have been told by 3rd hand that we will get a full house again before school. but again that was not told to me by admin but others. The past few weeks Debbie and I have gotten away to our farm. It has been nice to getaway, rest and come to a point in life that seems to slow down from our busy lives as houseparents and living in the city. In many ways I seem to enjoy it more and more each time we leave. It makes me think of the Amish when looking the word Amish it comes out as best known as the "simple life". I am not sure what's so wrong with the simple life. Their dress they call "plain". But looking at what some people wear now in the world I think "plain" is not so bad from some of the things I have seen. I know when Emily get to age I want to see her wear plain instead of some of the trash that is around today. The thing that gets me is most of them meet on Sunday mornings in members homes for Worship instead of a church building. Doesn't this sound like a home group!?! I think That is so cool. From my past looking back as a pastor when a church spits the 1st thing they do from my past is start a home group. I think it is a great idea to meet in the home as it does not become about a building to worship instead it is a place that they come and worship in. Something else I find really neat is that they end education at grade eight. Then they are off to work full time and learn life lessons. There is so much that seems to be neat about the Amish. However there are a few things that I might would stay far from. Because of intermarriage among the relatively small population, a higher incidences of certain inheritable diseases occur. Marrying your cuz?? Noway!

till we meet again!

~A Sunday Drive~

Today was a fine day. Starting off with church then lunch with family and friends and then ending the day with going out to eat and then taking a Sunday drive around Anderson and up to the home of the Tigers Clemson University. We went by the outdoor lab, one to drop off one of our girls for camp this week and then to walk around and see what a great place it really was. Got to meet the head person and hear stories and tails of the camp and life and then off we went to the main campus of Clemson to see all the neat places. I have to say with a guided tour as we had by Dr. Pidgeon him self it sure was a nice Sunday drive in the foot hills of South Carolina. In a lot of ways it made me think of our farm in Ga with the shade of the trees and the sounds of the birds and frogs within the deep of the water banks. It was rally a great time of followship and fun spending with family and friends on our Sunday Drive!

~Harvest Time~

Debbie and I have been away about a month due to bed rest and baby coming. So we have not been able to send a lot of time in the garden as we had hoped when we 1st did it. anyway we get to the house of check on it and what do we see. That's right WEEDS!! LOL.... yes yes and we saw some veg's! Due to it being so hot our side some didn't make it plus having the weeds in there did not help with the growing part of some plants. So Harvest time we had and we will see what happens when we take it all and make a soup out of it. I will tell you how if was tonight as we are having a soup with it all in it.

Tables Turning!

Okay Debbie just updated her blog and it has been awhile from the last time I updated mine. So here we go the update for now. If I said not much is going on and life is all great. I would be lieing. Things are crazy and so much has happen within the last two weeks. Details I don't care to go into at this point but lets just say God is a big God and He knows what He is doing. We got back into the house and it seems as if we are losing most all the kids. We will be down to only 3. If they are planning to put more kids back in the house or not I am not sure at this point. Anyway not much to say for now. Life is busy and lots to do. Emily is starting to cry so I must go!
