Happy Birthday!!!

Happy Birthday to me! Today was a nice day Debbie and I spent a lot of time together and it turned out the be a good day. We went out to eat and then shopping for the food for the week. Emily seemed to have fun too. We wanted to go out to a Japanese restaurant but we have noticed that on Sunday's most Japanese restaurant's are closed. So instead we went to California Dreaming. It was nice I really would not think a city like Augusta, GA would have one but it did and seems to fit the market well. I even gave it a good review I will post my review soon on my other site. After dinner we found a nice place to stop and get some sushi yes I love sushi I think I have gotten Debbie more open to trying it in the past year. After we got it we went shopping at a really nice place. I think we will have to start shopping there each week and it is not as far as the more high priced place we went to before. So over all the day went well. I am a year older and life goes on. This year I am thankful for my wife who in all i do still loves me and my for baby girl who is the best daddy's girl one could have.

YAY The SUN!!

Okay so it has been a while. I have been busy working getting our housing project done. Over the past few week it has rained and rained and rained. It has flooded everywhere and the land looks like a mud pit ready for some 4x4 trucks or in our case big farm tractors. After spend many days and weeks waiting for the rain to stop. The day has come! Hot days and a lot of Sun! lets pray it last!! I will be getting my Bobcat toy today to start working on the roads to get back to our house. We paid for our house this week and had to get the paper work and our new mailing address. We hope to have that all done this week.

~Bone Diggers~

Okay not that Carolina is off her leash she seems to now be a bone digger. I have seen everything from deer borns to birds, and this morning I woke up to find she was eating on a dead bunny. Now I am not sure it she killed it or it was road kill. I was really gross. I guess that is part of having dogs on a farm. Well family is here so I must go! In His Grip,

Weigh-IN

Okay so today is weigh in day. I lost 2 pounds. I have to do it a few times as I was not sure if it was a gain or lost of 2. and after plugging it in it is a lost! YAY!!! This weekend was nice we spent a lot of time cleaning as my grandparents are coming in for the week. I will be so glad when we get into our house now more having to deal with people in and out all the time. I think it will be nice to get back to our own lives. The house is coming along, we hope to get our check here soon so we can get all the things we need to get done before moving in. I hope and pray it comes soon. Out main goal is to be moved in before the 4th of July. Mothers day was nice. We got to take a little bit of a brake to spend with some friends at a cook out. It was reall nice. Emily got to have someone to play with and got to play outside in the water. Talk about water it have rain some this weekend and this morning I woke up to more storms. I hope this is not the start of the week we are going to have. I hope to work some on the road putting in a pipe to let the water run off in. That should help keep the water down when it rains on the low spot of our driveway. I hope to be getting a backhoe in the next few weeks or not days to help work on all this. With all the rain and storms it will keep me back on my work. Oh well lets hope for the best!

Rain, Rain Go away!!

We have had some really bad storms over the past few days I pray that they will soon leave and begone. Due to all the storms and rain it is slowing things down on the tree cutting project. The tree trucks keep getting stuck going up the hill to where you have to turn to get out our main gate. We are going to have to something about rain and the mud when we move in. maybe put some rock in or something. (whatever is cheapest) Oh okay I must but everything aside and post a stay-at-home daddy post. I HATE Parent's Choice Diapers. We had to get some last week due to us being out of them and they are cheaper them the ones we get at Sam's Club. I get Emily up to fine her diaper fell off in the middle of the night and she has a mess in the bed and it is soaking wet. We will not buy them again. and Warning to all parents out there stay away!!! :) okay I am done. Well Maybe the sun will come out here and dry things up. Lord knows we need! Time to go clean house and get thing ready for Debbie to come home.

Book One -The Fall of Lucifer -"Chronicles of Brothers"

I am still reading it but thought I would post a short review so far. When I am done I will post a longer and more complete review. This book is really opening my eyes to God's true love for Lucifer. I heard that when I was young but I didn't really think about it. Even though this book is fiction I think it has the probability of a lot of truth to it. It shows what before, during and after the creation of man may have looked like from heaven/hells point of view. Lucifer is brothers with Michael and Gabrielle and the book shows them being so great and mighty but when God creates manhood, something that doesn't have supernatural powers and something worse, free will, Lucifer thinks God has made a mistake because these people will betray Him. And Lucifer is jealous of the fact that God cares about them anyway. in essence he feels like he knows better than God so he leaves heaven his brothers (Micheal and Gabrielle). This book is very detailed and descriptive. Even though fictional, there is such a reality to some of the things it brings up. I could really feel as if I was in the book and became a part of the world within. I gave the book to my mother to read for a weekend and she said she could not get into it do to all the derailed and descriptive words. I can't wait to get to the end and move on the the next book, there are 7 books in the set. Right now she only has 2 out with the 3rd out this October.

~Monday Morning Coffee~

Okay so I am up before the birds. or Cows however you want to say it. I guess it you live in the city you would say birds. if not then you would say cows. Anyway I wake up to find the tree cutting guys out working or at least they sound like they are working. I think they are planning of getting done this week. That will be nice, lets just hope they get it done right and we won't have to come back and redo some of the things we need done right, like the driveway and cleaning up there mess. I am hoping and praying it is not going to rain that bad today. If it does it will make a lot of mud all over and that may slow things down a lot with the trucks coming in and out. It may even slow us down as our main driveway is really sandy now. I show a few drops outside but maybe it will stop and the sun will come out. But as I am currently watching the Weather Channel I don't think that will happen this week. Okay as I watch TWC they are showing the beach. :( now I want to be at the beach. LOL. Well It's Monday morning and Debbie is off to work (lets pray she has a GREAT week) we could so use a good week of pay. It would be great to start saving up for a car for me but I am starting to feel I won't get a car until next year. oh well I guess it is time for some coffee. Till later!

What's the Plan?

Okay so here is the deal. As I have been asked by many what is up with us? Well to start off, we are working on a BIG project if you have not noticed. Let me back up and share with you about how we came about it, where we are today and where we are going with it.
The Land, My family owns a bit of land outside of Waynesboro GA. (Google it) and it has been said that out of the family whosever wishes to build and live on the land can get a few acres. So Debbie and I are following our dreams we once had 3 years ago. Then was a plan for 10+ years but over the past few years found that Gods call was sooner. So here we are today the start of our project. With a much needed makeover to the land we are having all the pine trees cut leaving only the oaks. We are also having two lots cleared for our house and as well as one for my mother. Who would like to move here over the next year. Here is how it works; the land itself is called Lively Lea Acres. On the land there is Blueberry Hill (my mothers-which sits on the hill), Poole’s Cabin (my grandparents place) and Winding Oaks Farm (our place)
Now I can’t tell you much about Poole’s Cabin or Blueberry Hill other then we have been currently living at the Poole’s Cabin the past 6 months and Blueberry Hill will have blueberries, Duh!! However, I can tell you about Winding Oaks Farm. Winding Oaks Farm will have a few phases before being fully completed. Phase one is happening as we speak. The land being cleared, well and septic going in, power being run and setting up of our house. We hope to have phase one done sometime around the start of summer. (that’s around the corner) Phase two is our biggest of the phases and will take the longest to complete. Phase two is as follows: setting up house, landscaping (plants, grass, bushes, and walkway) putting in driveway, back yard fence, driveway gate(s) play area for Emily, back yard deck, building green house, vegetable garden, grape vineyard, small pumpkin patch, and fruit tree orchard. Phase three will be the adding of the following: Woodshop, small selected animals, pumpkin hut, and small pond. Now once all that is done we will be moving onto our last and final phase of Winding Oaks Farm. Phase four will be the adding of larger animals (horses only), barn and home addition. I am sure within the time it takes to fulfill each phase we will change or add a few things over the years.
Well that’s our plans a lot happening and much to do. Debbie is staying busy working. She is working hard and it seems to be paying off as our income has grown over the last few months. I can’t seem to keep Emily still anymore as she is getting into everything and pulling up on anything she sees. She is growing up so fast. I am just waiting for the day she starts to picks up the cars keys walks out the door. She seems to be enjoying spending time with me outside each day. I know this will be great when she gets a little older she can help me out on the farm. I remember when at CHC our kids would love to come outside and help pick strawberries or pull weeds. Great memories!!
So that’s what is up with us! Oh let me clear up a few rumors you may or may not have heard.
One sorry to disappoint you but we don’t have cows nor want them at this time.
Two we are not getting pigs or goats.
Three we due plan on fostering to adopt (Christmas 2009) We are open to who God brings to our family.
Four our long term plans are for Debbie and I to switch places (Debbie = stay-at-home / Me = work.)
Five we due plan on opening our pumpkin patch to the public by phase three.

Over the next few days I will be posting a layout of Blueberry Hill, and Winding Oaks Farm. It is still under design but when it is done it should give you a better idea of what it will look like once completed.
Hope that answers all your questions and give you a better idea of what is going on in our lives.
In His Grip,
Jonathan
